Clutch Pedal down for the count!?
Hey, today i was driving my car from Wells Fargo to 24 Hour Fitness and i noticed that my clutch pedal kinda stuck to the floor. i could pull it up and it would be in normal position, but when i pushed it down, it just stayed down there unless i brought it back up. it was getting hard to shift. like really hard. i was grinding gears all the way down clayton road. i tried restarting the car. and it still did it. it felt like the more i pressed in the clutch, the more it would sink. little by little each time, until eventually, i had to pull over and check it out.
i pulled over in the big 5 parking lot and looked by the pedal and i felt my hand deep inside and there was a button that i pushed in and i could start the car with that, but i couldnt shift it into gear. does anyone know why this is happening or what this is? has this happened to anyone else??? ...i hope its not expensive. i was thinking it could just be the linkage?

there is no linkage, it's hydraulic, and your master cylinder most likely just took a **** on you. I'm in the same boat with mine right now.
$125 for the master, and some nice bloody hands later... might want to think about doing the clutch and slave while at it.

It wont look like a long spring but like a curled spring with hooks at each end that grab the clutch pedal frame. I know things are very tight up in there but you should see it.
If there isnt a hook at each end then it is toast. That is what ours looked like.
