New Ram clutch is in. Sintered Iron baby!!!!!!!!!
For those of you who remember, I have been through quite an ordeal the past three weeks. Well after finally pulling the trans I dscovered my 6130 disc had melted itself to the flywheel. Im still at a loss as to what might have caused this to happen. IT may not have liked my 538rwhp and 709rwtq on ET streets, or it could have been a hydro problem Well I called Mike @ Ram and explained my situation. He was absolutely awesome to deal with. He first put me in touch with Mike @ Rapid to go over the details of the install. Everything was as it should be. So the next morning MIke @ Ram shipped me a new disc(900 series Sintered Iron) and a new PP ring. This was awesome considering the VDS kit has no warranty since its a race only application.
Well, I went outside yesterday and put everything back in the car and got her down off the jackstands she had been sittin on for 3 weeks. My first impression of the sintered iron set up was holy **** this thing has less chatter than the 6130. I couldnt believe it. I was expecting to rattle my teeth out with this disc. Its definately aggressive, but EXTREMELY streetable. I have only put about 30 miles on it so far. Man is it killing me to get on the car. I threw in a new 01 slave, the Ram adj master and had the flywheel resurfaced. Everything is brand new. Im definately impressed with Ram at this point. Mostly with their customer service and how I was treated, but also with the performance of their product. I would strongly suggust giving Ram a shout when its clutch time for you. MIke @ Rapid also went above and beyond with his customer service. He called me while he was out of town to help me with my problem and kept in contact with me through the entire deal. Great guys, both of them.

Sweet man, glad to hear it all turned out good....
FYI, w/ the donkey slong cam Ron has in his car clutch chatter is amplified, so if this disk does not chatter in his car is sure as hell won't chatter in a stocker. For example, the 6130 in my car has ZERO chatter, but in Ron's it had some decent chatter.
Ram all the way, definately good guys to deal with and prices that can't even be touched!

Thought that I might as well chime in here too. Mike is a good guy to deal with and he's got a lot of patience. I got the organic disc and it's very streetable too. Hardly any chatter and it seems like it grabs pretty well. Hard to tell though since I'm still in my break-in. Of course, I'm only putting about 310 to the ground...so far.

I only make 410 on motor and its doing absolutely fine. Hooks like hell and doesnt really chatter anymore than the 6130. I would go for it.

I ordered mine at SummitRacing last weekend, along with the 402 PP.
Looking forward to it when it comes in ( the 980 is on b/o 4 wks. out).
CamminBeast; how is it now 9 days later? Have you ripped on it?

O yea, I have laid into it pretty good on motor a few times. Still no nitrous runs yet. Its a bad ****. Still doesnt chatter realy and it grabs hard. I would sugest it to anyone wanting an aftermarket clutch. Ram is bad ss plain and simple.
