Default Ok more recent textralia feedback please

I saw that one post awhile ago about guy who went thru 3 and then got an auto.
But still curious about them. I may need to change out clutches soon in my 99 ta although my cartech may be fine for awhile have some other problems I think with hydraulics.

I was going to go ls7 but realistically I will be usually putting down figure at least 600 engine and likely the odd time even more. The textralia at 700 is even maybe not enough clutch for me.But I still want as light a pedal and as much streetability as I can get.And of course as little or no chatter as possible.Yes I want it all!
My new dsm clutch which is competition ironman seems to be a good combination of the above. But time will tell.
Also if a clutch is rated like 700 like the textralia does that mean it slips as soon as you go past that or only mabye after repeated runs at that power level. And does it wear out the clutch super quick past its rating or does it just get hot and have to cool down?

The singles are rated at 700 ft-lbs at the flywheel, but some aussie guys have pushed them beyond that.

I will be pushing mine to about 575 rwtq on the nitrous soon, then maybe 600 rwtq with the turbo setup later this year.

As stated above, I have some slight chatter on certain take offs, others its just like stock. Havent been to the track, but I am going in 3 weeks and will post some feedback then. So far, it is just like having a stock clutch in terms of engagement, pedal pressure, and "slippability" is slippability even a word?

Still breaking mine in, the chatter has been gone for a couple of days, still getting a little shudder sometimes. As mentioned before, this clutch grabs.. I had to adjust my clutch to engage higher than just off the floor because I kept stalling the car out. Shifts are nice. This clutch is the best balanced aftermarket clutch I have had.. hands down, the engine revs smooth all the way to 6500. I had no idea how much vibration I was getting from SPEC and Mcloed clutches until I put this one in.

Ive had mine in for at least 400 miles now and been to the track once. Made 7 passes on it in one night and it never even thought about slipping. Given at the moment im only around 400rwhp/tq. The car will eventually be getting at least a 100 shot of TNT and some slicks so we will see what happens

Thats about my exact summation so far, had the clutch in for a year and about 3k miles. 20 passes, no problems with slippage or anything else. Clutch is a pleasure to drive compared to my old Spec 3 (which welded to the flywheel at the track after 6k miles).

Yeah like everyone above stated. This clutch grabs and grabs good. I will really be testing it soon with a 200 shot. I think it will do just fine with the progressive controler.
