Default Impressions of Textralia clutch after first track trip...

Well just got back from the track on Friday nite and the mods are in the sig. Now I know i am not pushing a huge HP rating, but I am definately not stock either. I made 10 passes in 3 hours, never hot lapped, and it held AMAZING dumping the clutch at 5k-5500. It grabbed like a SOB, never slipped once, and was just as smooth on the drive home as could be. I was skeptical as to how a clutch that is this streetable can be that hardcore at the track, but it was VERY solid. It is DEFINATELY worth the $$$ just wanted to share!

Orangepeel, what do you think a 9" car with ET streets/3.70 gears and 385rwhp on tap should 60'?????

Keep in mind car is fully suspended with Hal QA1, UMI Torque arm, and chromoly DS....

Probably about like my wife's car (white Z28 in my sig). 1.5-1.4 if you are good and the tires hook for sure. Atleast you don't have to worry about breaking the rear end...It will be the transmission and the driveshaft that you will have to worry about.

I hear ya about the tranny, I toasted mine finally after 120k HARD miles on it, 4th gear finally has let go. Looks like mine will see only 1/8 mile from here on out....

I'll let the thread starter tell you about his 60's

with 3.70's you might be almost hitting 4th if you are really quick.

Not me dude, I dont run no stinking 3.70's. I'm with 4.22's at the moment, and goign to 4.56's with a 28" slick soon enough as well.

With 4.22's and 26" slick, i cross the traps in the 1/4 at 6800.....with a jacked up 4th gear.....it gets the job done, but man is it frustrating to granny shift 4th after a great 60 and 1/8mile......

Anyone got an extra Tranny laying around~!
