Default Exo-skel anyone??

anyone using the Exo-skel??? how do you like it? engagement? how much HP etc etc?

Its a little stiffer than stock. Releases close to the top (better for fast shifitng) should hold a shitload of power. Does have a little chatter but once you beat on it a little and get it hot it goes away. I'm currently not putting near enough power thru it but hopefully that will be changing in the near future and I'll be ready!!!!

So far I only have about 100 miles on mine. Releases about in the middle, no chatter, shim behind slave and stock master cylinder. So far I love this clutch.

Textralia suggest using a shim with it?? or just something you decided to do?

I think they suggest not using one but I had one in there before and I thought about it when I installed the Exo-skel and decided to leave it in.

They specifically told me NOT to use any shims or aftermarket master cylinders.

I know for sure your not supposed to use a shim with the OZ700.

You know I haven't read the installation papers in the box (assuming there are some instructions)

But how do you know?

b/c i had one and was one of the first guys to purchase it when it came out....i did my research and talked to the guys over a Textralia to confirm. i had a Spec 3 before which was shimmed and it was something i needed to make sure.

What do you think about putting in a new slave? I have the 01-02 slave and it's about 2 years old.

kit comes with a new slave....i would replace it with the one provided.

Yeah, Textralia doesn't believe in shims on any of their products.
