Default Differences Between T-56's... F-body vs. Cobra vs. Viper

I am looking at getting a T56 for my truck and they are pretty easy to come by. I see quite a few from Vipers and Cobras also. What is the difference between these and the one's from an F-body? Obviously the bellhousings will be different, is there anything else? Input/Output shaft splines? Gear ratios? Mounting locations? Sensors?

Thanks!

Between the cobras and Fbodys the input shafts are different and the cobras dont use a hydraulic clutch system. Not sure on the vipers..

No they are the same ratio. The viper uses a longer input shaft, different pilot bearing, 31 spline output and comes with carbon blockers depending on the year.

The cobras come with a 10 spline input, use a clutch fork and the input is shorter.

The LS1 Fbodys use a hydraulic setup, 27 spline output, and don't have any upgraded parts in it at all.

The LT1 Fbodys use a clutch fork, 27 spline output and don't have upgrades either.

Don't forget about the GTO, CTS-V, and SSR.

Ok, so what's the difference between the GM T-56's? I am assuming nothing, it would be cheaper for GM to use the same tranny in all of their 6-speed cars.

I don't know the exact applications, but there are at least two versions of the gm six speed, MN6 and the MN12.
The MN12 came in the C5 Z06, GTO's and I believe the Z51 C6's. The gearing is a little shorter in the MN12, it would be great for a truck, I would think.
