Default HELP! Cannot understand clutch problem

This all started when i tryed to put the car in reverse after leaving a bank. It wouldnt go into reverse. I finally got it into 1st with enough force. 5 minutes later while driving on the highway, i tried to shift into 3rd and it wouldnt let me. It wouldnt let me go into any gear what so ever. I tried putting it into 1st with the car off and then starting it. It starts up fine and once on, it wont let me go into any other gear. It looks like the clutch doesnt disengage once engaged. Anybody know what causes this? Should i bleed the system? I checked the fluid under the hood and it was fine. (I know for a fact i didnt burn the clutch)

How does the pedal feel? If it is spongy you need to get into the hydraulics.

Sounds like the slave cylinder is taking a crap . I would suggest changing both the slave and the master cylinder while you have it apart . The LS1 cars are well known for their shitty hydraulic set up . That and the weak *** 7.5 diff are the two major flaws in the platform .

Lol, I'd bleed your clutch and replace the fluids if I were you. The fluid should be clear, just pick up any DOT3 or DOT 4 brake fluid, I used synthetic in mine, but it really doesn't make much of a difference.

hell yeah it matters. You need to bleed your system and put new fluid in. Make sure you wrap the clutch line that goes by your headers real good and tuck it away from the heat. my clutch did the same thing. The fluid started to boil thats why its black and has air in your lines.

He pretty much summed it all up in a nut shell for you. The GM part number for the clutch fluid #12345347 if you need it.
