Anyone run a LuK progold setup w/ aluminum flywheel
I just got this setup installed and wondering how it will hold up. My C5 is basically stock beside exhaust/intake so there won't be any rediculous power to it or any drag racing.
the stock type clutch i just replaced lasted about 40k with one auto-x, a few burnouts, and a whole lot of bumper to bumper traffic.
If you're running the same, how do you like the setup?

I thought Luk made a lot, if not all, of the clutches for GM. Do they not make the LS6 and LS7 clutches?? I have read that info somewhere on the internet. If I've been misled, does anyone happen to know who makes the LS7 clutch and/or flywheel for GM. BTW, LuK also offers a kit w/ a steel flywheel

I bought a Luk Pro Gold for an older chevy, pn#04-902. Its a 12" PP non-adjustable type. Installed it with a ceramic 6 puck 11 7/16" disk I had made up at the local clutch shop. As soon as I get my driveshaft I'll post how it works/holds power. The thing is that Luk wont sell this PP with a 26 spline disk. They could very easy though. The Pro gold friction disk that comes with the kit is a 10 spline. The spline hub is detachable from the disk. The Luk viper clutch disk uses the same type of removable center spline hub only with 26 splines. Of course I called Luk and the tech support acted like I was the clutch anti-christ for asking if I could purchase the center piece so thats why I had to use the puck.

So far this set up is great. I had another puck type disk with a 2002 stock PP and it chattered quite a bit. This is the same disk material only with a billet flywheel and the Luk PP and it doesnt chatter at all! I'm very impressed. Now if it holds power, it'll get 2 thumbs up.
FYI, the car is a 346 with AFR 225's, 228/230 on 110, M6 faceplated trans, 3:70 gears in a 9" with a 35 spline locker.
