i am gauging interest in custom made lockout for you guys that drag race your cars.
i have a custom made lockout which allows me to completely lock out 5/6 and reverse when you are at the track.
actually you could do it anytime you want to bang gears for that matter and at the flip of a switch.
regards,
taner

yes. blocking out 5th will alow less chance of error on the 2-3 shift. As well as eliminating the urge to just shift to 5th like mentioned above.

i need a couple of days to sort out rough cost to produce them. please bear with me. i apologize i should have done that legwork first prior to putting this post up.
and then from there figure out on how to sell them properly, since i am mentioning this here on the site. i already have some ideas on that. Amber I will call you by Friday. eitherway it will be legit when it comes to.

I've had the same problem. It's pretty easy to overpower the spring in the reverse lock-out solenoid housing. All I did was disassemble the housing and remove the spring and replace it with a solid piece of round stock with a hole in the center. You could use a bunch of washers stacked up, also. Just compress the spring and remove the e-clip on the end of the rod. Remove thick washer and the spring. Stack the washers on and replace the large washer and e-clip. Done! There is no way in the world you can accidentally throw it into reverse now. The only drawback is that if your reverse lock-out solenoid fails you can't overpower and still put it in reverse.
