Thumbs up Tick Perf. Adjustible Master Cyl. Review

Here is another one.

Let me say this thing is freakin amazing.

Mods in sig, making under 390 rwhp.

Textralia Oz-700 Z grip
Stock Hurst Shifter
New GM '02 Slave Cyl.

Even this morning, I drove the car hard and I had a VERY hard time shifting @ WOT after 5k and even near 6,500 it was VERY hard. Definitly no powershifting.

I did the clutch test and it would mover after 5,500 rpms.

We got her within 2 hours. Just messing with adjustments and putting the bolts in. The clutch line routed with ease and its just long enough to keep it under the heat shield.

We did the gravity bleed, then bleed from the Slave. We did about 4-5 refills and the pedal was pretty hard. We did some minor rod adjustment to get the pedal a little lower then the brake.

Went out did the clutch test. At 6,500 I felt the car tense up but never moved.

Took it out for some WOT runs.

I did probably over 12 power shifts and never lifted the gas. This car could NEVER do this before. I would do a 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, and 4-5 with ease. My buddy who has a car in the same boat, same clutch, GTO trans and Pro 5.0 and did miss a shift but I call that he needs to practice a little bit more. But for me I never had an issue.

I will have the MC final bleed. with a BG machine to get the best pedal pressure and then I am mint for the track!!

I would totally recommend this Master Cyl.

Worth every penny.

i installed my a few days ago and it works perfect.
i have a power bleeder i use on cars up here at work.
it just so happens to fit our clutch fluid reservoirs.
i bench bleed a few times, and then bleed in the car

I would wait until they open tomorrow and ask them to over-night it, i would go as far as say... you will need to get it installed, drive it, adjust it. and get used to it on the street. b/c if your racing with it you may be like me and want to be comfortable with the new AMC
the clutch does away with the pedal return spring, rest-a-sure its got plenty of pedal return.
it sets lower torwards the firewall/floor board area, its a little different fill.
Man i love it, its only a 1000 times easier to bleed over the stock master.

Good luck at the LSX shootout.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!

I don't want to step on any toes since we're not vendors for the LSx shootout, but I'm going to try and bring a few incase anyone needs one at the track. BES Stroked Nova, that may be your best bet for getting one in time. If we're not too busy, we'll even help with the install at the track.

What's different between the TICK and the other adjustable masters out there? Do they function the same?

Thank you guys for the kind words and rave reviews! I'm glad to hear everybody is as pleased with the kit as we are. Tons of real-world results are out there at this point and we're tickled pink at the number of guys that love this thing.

In a nutshell, our Adjustable Master Cylinder Kit is unique from others in that it is a bigger bore (which means that it flows more fluid) giving the hydraulic system the extra "oomph" needed to pull the clutch completely off the flywheel. This is especially evident when using the beefier aftermarket clutches.

Our kit comes with an unrestricted line that eliminates the need for the drill mod.

Our kit is fairly simple to install and is extremely easy to adjust. For more info, check out this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-transmission/969314-teaser-thread-tick-performance-s-revolutionary-new-adjustable-master-cylinder.html

The one thing you NEED to buy is some 7/16" Bolts, the kit doesnt come with it, and you dont reuse the "U" bolt. And some lock washers, thats it.
