Admission is $15; children 12 and under are free. Participants can purchase run cards for $25 per Test & Tune. Gates open at 4pm. If you don't get there at least half hour to 45 minutes before, you will be waiting in the tech inspection area for close to an hour, sometimes more just to get inspected. They are really picky too. (NHRA rules apply) You might get 2-5 runs in if you are lucky. I went last year a few times, got about two runs in for my $40. Decide to say **** it, drive 65 miles one way to 41 & get as many runs in as I wanted for $20. (I live about 2 miles from 66 too )

I'm with Matt on this one, except I usually go to Byron. Last time I went to Rt. 66, I spend 1.5 hours just in inspection, then 2 hours in staging lanes. If I remember right it was $36 to run ($25 to get in, $11 more to run, or the other way around) and I only got 1 run in. Go to Byron on the weekend, 30-45 minute ride to Rt. 66, hour and 20 minutes to Byron, $25 to run ($15 to watch, $10 more to run). Track opens at 10am and by 3pm I usually can get 3 runs in with time to let the car sit and cool, and get some food.

If your looking to get a lot of runs in forget it. The track conditions are good that's one thing i like most about that track. Went there today and they wouldn't let me into tech because they had to many cars not to mention last week i waited over two hours didn't get a run in and they closed the track stateing it was to cold outside to race. It was 57 degrees out.

I went tonight, they had so many cars that they went around the corner & half way up the pits in the staging lanes.
It was friggin nuts. Great track dont get me wrong, just way the f- to many people there.
It is hard to find a reason to keep going back. I think this trip did it.

ok, ill admit it on this one, tonight was a fkin mad house. it was, by far, the worst experiance i've had there. stopped multiple times, the tech guys were getting angry, people breaking **** left and right. I did get 3 runs tonight though, and i must say i have reached the limit of my car. this is the fastest it will go with out mods. but i was consistant, esp with my end of the night run,

Also to the outlaw guys that were there, the car looks awsome. sorry you had some problems, i'm glad my jumper cables were a help.
