sorry if it's a repost, but i just saw this and thought i'd share. most of the video is crap, but toward the end, it's pretty awesome that ol' Shelby can still bang some gears in his old age

The old man's still got it after all these years. Too bad the ground had to be wet for it to spin a tire....j/k.

He was shifting like an old man. That test mule got beat up pretty good. You have
to respect an old guy than can still beat on cars.

Could not have put it better myself. My buddy met him awhile back (at a Ferrari convention no less!) and said he was cool as a fan. It's sad that someone like Oprah or Madona is on the list of 100 greatest Americans (it was a deal I saw on A&E or something like that) when men like Carrol Shelby and others have done so much for one of the largest industries in the world.

I still say Ford should have kept the weight down and had a proven 11 second car Also.. I thought they were going to be $44,000?? All that said I'd rather have a 03/04 Cobra. No offense I just like that body style more.

The styling of the Shelby looks good, i wish GM would start doing some interior like that , maybe we'll see it in the new camaro.

As stated before the GT500 will run low 12's and the C6 runs mids. The average driver will run a mid 12 where as Ive seen a couple C6's run 13.30's.
