An underdrive pulley will pick you up anywhere between 5-7 rwhp, and since most of them are 25% underdriven your car will rev a little bit quicker. You will need to replace both the air conditioner and accessory belt. The car won't need a tune for something like that. We have a few different pullies available for these cars, give us a call or shoot me a PM and we can get you taken care of.

a 10% UDP will underdrive the accessories by 10%
a 25% UDP will underdrive the accessories by 25%
The 25% pulley will net more horespower and quicker revs than the 10% at the cost of underdriving all the accessories more. Most people run the 25% with no problems.

I have asp 25% pulley and alternator overdrive pulley in mines. It's great but even with the alternator pulley the voltage guage still drops to the orange line just idling. With the A/C on the car just feels veryyyy heavy!! Honestly the thought of putting the stock pulleys back in HAS crossed my mind a lot.

I did the powerbond UD pulley with the reusable bolt and new belts, bought the kit from sdparts.com and I am pleased, it is on a 00 SS M6 and I noticed to voltage drops or anything, I can tell it revs up quicker but while driving the only way i might be able to tell is uphills, also my mileage is getting a little better, dyno will tell more over the rpm range
Also the M6 should be alright w/o the alternator pulley, the A4 needs to have it but they idle lower

On my auto 02 Z28, a 25% underdrive pulley gained 6rwhp/10trq. Same day, same dyno. The pulley was installed on the dyno for accurate before and after numbers.

I got the ASP two pulley kit, not realizing the alternator was even more under-driven. At idle, my ABS is inop, my voltage is deep in the red...
Turn on the defroster, headlights, and stereo, and then the cooling fans would kick on. The car would overheat.
I tried a couple of different fixes, but went back to the stock alternator pulley. Perfect! With all the crap on at idle it will still slowly drop, but even with the subs pounding it stays above 12.

are you sure thats an 'overdrive' alternator pulley?

fog lights, cd player, and a/c all on, the gauge would sit right on the orange part. With nothing but the stereo on it would still be on the orange part. I mean right on where the orange shade starts...

So you're saying the ASP alternator pulley is slower than the stock alternator pulley? I thought it was supposed to speed it up faster-that's the whole point with any alternator pulley isn't it?

u can tell by lookin at ur stock alternator pulley and the one u got, which ever one is smaller is the one u should go with, the smaller it is on the driven side the faster it will spin, bigger it is the slower it will spin, if its the driver (crank pulley aka ur UD pully) bigger it is faster it spins the other pullys but it takes more effort, smaller spins it all slower but easy to do, were u get the power from for doin a UD pulley swap
