Dumb question about headers
I was looking into doing long tube headers but I keep reading that you have to get rid of cats. In VA there pretty strict on having cats and I was just wondering if I could do Long tubes with cats. I was looking at BBK headers but from what I understand you can do it.

Yes you can do longtubes and cats. The cats go on the y pipe or x pipe depending on if you go with a true dual exhaust or not. They are a great mod to do to these cars. Where you live do you have to have your exhaust tested to see if it passes emissions? If you don't you don't have to have cats.

There are no emissions tests where I live but the cats have to be visible to get inspection sticker. I swear I read somewhere that the bbks you can't do cats, am I wrong about that?

Texas speed sells their Y-pipe with or without a cat. If you do true duals you can buy two cats and weld them yourself if you have a welder before you mount them up. Its not as complicated as your making it out to be, there is no magical pipe that BBK uses that makes them special just pick your set-up (x or y pipe) and then either buy the catted Y or the cats for your x-pipe.

Never heard of arh, what kind of price are on them? The car has a flowmaster on it now and I really like the tone, just would like for it to be a little louder.
