Default motor mount swap

How hard is it to swap stock vs poly mounts? Someone told me I have to cut the rivets off and stuff. All input will be very much appreciated. I changed out my stock shorties for LTs. I know that I should've changed them...

you have to remove the rubber out of the metal shells to install the poly mounts..............which requires drilling out the rivets of the stock shells.........they are then held together with bolts

you got to "drill" out the old rivets and the old rubber mount is melted in the clamshell you gotta scrape it out.. its a pita but the only thing thats gonna make the headers stop banging the floorboard when you get on it...

got mine from jegs...

I got mine from Summit, Prothane.

They were the same price from Jegs. They were the lowest I've found.

^^I printed out that write up and gave it to my guys at the shop last week..They swapped out the old mounts and installed the new polys in 2hrs. No horror stories. I couldn't tell any difference...Then again my stock mounts were in perfect shape, and I added my full exhaust. Glad I have them though.

Were your headers banging underneath the car?
