Default Buy aluminum sheets?

Anyone know where I can go to pick up some small sheets of aluminum? Not alot and nothing crazy heavy duty...just like 4mm thick stuff. Thanks!

Hobby shops sell thin sheets about 4" by 8".

home depot sells 6-10' rolls of sheet aluminum for like 10 bucks...
i will be using some of this my self....

If you can't find what you need you can look up a local sheetmetal fabricator (HVAC) and see if they can hook you up or send you in the right direction. Once ans a while at our shop we have a request like this, and we will cut or bend something for someone and have them come and pick it up and just pay with check or cash.

4mm is pretty chubby - like 1/4" plate? For that you'd
be looking for "drops" at a sheet metal / welding supply.
(Mine refuses to call it "scrap" because "scrap" means
they'd have to sell it cheaper; "drops" are still "new".

Also good bargains to be had at non-ferrous recycling
centers if you live in an area with any industry, and
these guys don't give **** #1, just sell it for more a
pound than they paid the vagrants.

Hum, there are some shady recycling areas somewhat near me...maybe I'll check them out.

go to a plumbing supply of HVAC supply place.
