power lacking at WOT
Ok so 6 months ago my wife and I picked up a 2000 Z28 A4. the first few weeks with the car were fantastic, it scared the hell outta me with the power it had. I could punch it in first from a light and boil the tires, it would do donuts in the parking lot, just mad fun car to drive. well gradually over the last 6 months of ownership it has gotten tamer and tamer and wont even light em up from a stop anymore. I've changed plugs, wires, fuel and air filters, installed SLP lid, cleaned and tested MAF. It is still gutless, I got beat by a SCION TC tonight how embarressing. It has more acceleration at part throttle from 3rd or 4, than at WOT, in any gear. Any thoughts on where my horsepower went, and how to get it back?

Getting any codes/SES light?
Do you have a scanner to look at things like fuel trims and O2 sensor data?
Do you have access to a fuel pressure gauge?
Any other issues with the car, such as long cranking periods during cold starts, sloppy feeling or delayed shifts, significant loss of MPG, idle quality deterioration, difficulty reaching higher rpms, or anything else in this regard?

No codes ses light
been wanting a code scanner for real time data, can you recommend a good one?
I'll pick up a fuel pressure gauge today.
It runs very smooth, but when you floor it from overdrive around say 55 or 60 it downshifts revs high makes a lot of noise but doesnt go much faster.

the same thing happened to me, my wifes 95 3.4l camaro was out running my 95 ls1 swap z28, turned out to be low fuel pressure, new fuel pump and everything was great again!

Havent been able to get on it much lately the torque arm is bowed and mount is about shot so ill be getting new UMI arm in couple weeks. but last time i nailed it from OD, it downshifted to 2nd and revved up to like 5k and didn't accelerate much in 2nd just high RPM and loud.

Be sure to decide what exhaust you will be going with down the road if you end up going with a body mounted one. like a dumbass I got one for stock exhaust, cause that's what I had, now im putting LT's on and hove to cut and weld up the bracket for clearance. UMI has one designed for LT's, would have saved me some time and $$$.

ok so got car back from aamco did full rebuild. It lights the tires up nicely now, but still seems to be sluggish onthe high end 4500-6500 rpm. Going to check fuel pressure next when I can afford a gauge. but it shifts snappy and lights em up from a stop
