Default Next MOD help!!!!

Current mods in sig and best E.T. only changes are SLP y-pipe and ram air.
Did not see any real gains from the 2 new mods except is does seem to pull harder at top end and it ran 13.0x @107.88 in the heat last night 2 times with 2.0x 60' times.

I know people will say converter, cam or headers for next mod, but im looking for cheaper easy install mods.
I have thought pully swap, T.B or MAF. I have talked to and read a T.B and MAF. wont help.. So im leaning toward pully.

Goal is to run 12.9x consistant not just on a cool low humadity night.

any suggestions or other mods im overlooking..
Thanks

I assume you have the LS6 intake? Pulley and TB should free up about 10-15 hp maybe

I do have the LS6 intake. I was looking at Ebay Potz T.B. and SLP maf and U.D pulley. Does a bigger MAF make a diffrence. it seems very restrictive? by changing MAF will it effect my Diablo tune?

You should focus on that 2.0 60ft. LCA's, brackets, tires, shocks, Torque Arm. You have mph for mid to low 12's as is

The stock MAF is totally fine at your level. Changing it will not add any power

Jensen what would you recommend for a first suspension mod. Torque arm?
Im pulling 2.0x 60's with BFG comp 2 street tires.

HCI2000SS. If i do a Potz T.B. what about Potz MAF ends that are ported and polished?

No, the stock MAF is good for around 500 rwhp or so before it starts to become a restriction. I'd simply leave it be right now

As said above, I'd leave the stock maf. You can get your TB ported and then do a UD pulley. From there some suspension mods as mentioned above.

You really want a TA that mounts off the tranny. LCA's and brackets are usually first since they're cheap. Then rear shocks. I've never understood buying a MAF, once you've out grown it just go SD tune. You can also pull your front sway bar at the track

So I ported and polished My own a T.B. and it looks and works great.

So per advise from above. I think I will do lower contol arms and pulley.

Question is replacement of Panhard bar helpful for drag racing E.T's??

Do you recommend UMI or BMR???

PHB realistically just centers the rear end. If your car is stock height, the stock PHB is fine. Now when you really start hooking and hitting the tires hard, with stock shocks and springs, it can compress enough to slide the body into the tires. Being an A4 car with your power, I dont see that happening.

Dont waste your time with that...You can get a decent stall for $300....Best mod I did and most FUN FACTOR added.....$100 to have it installed btw. Could do it in the driveway fairly easily IMO

deff consider an adjustable torque arm that's mounted off the trans and subframe connectors when you put the drag radials on. you will be amazed the difference they will make. The biggest thing is a converter and go with the 4,000 and not the 3600 I regretted not going bigger. my opinion id hold off on the underdrive pulley for now. It didn't do anything for me car 1/4 times as a bolt on car. its more for cammed cars.

Thanks Steve. Thats good to know. Thats why I post on here. Im just starting bolt on phase so if pulley wont help E.T. i dont want to waste my money and put it toward a mod that will pick up E.T'S.
Your the third person who said go 4000 stall. Im just not ready for that.
So great advise from this thread. No to MAF and pulley.
What about the extended section for my ram air??

Edgar i ported and polished my own T.B. was easier then i thought and work pretty good. Only a track day will tell.

Its been proven many many times that a real ram air (like the chrs1313 from speed inc or a sux2bu setup) improves ET and mph at the track. I'd definitely get that over a pulley, pulley should be the last thing when you have nothing else to buy, or are doing a camshaft install. Go with MWC for SFC's, best fit, and best price. While your there order the bumper support bars too, and remove your heavy bumper supports..

As far as a verter goes, Yank PT4400 if your looking at a yank. I did just install a TCI street fighter 3200 in my brother in laws 98 Z28. Great little converter. Thing blows the tires off in first no matter what on the street, and its a completely stock 2.73 car with a lid, LCA's, brackets, tune, no other mods. But in my opinion, it needs a lot more converter.
