lt4, lt5?
please excuse my dumnassness but what vet has teh lt4 adn where else is the lt4 found, and if the lt4 is in the vett what vett, cause i thought the hooked up vett had the lt5 in it???

LT4 was OE on 1996 special edition cars and was rated at 330hp, This was an option on all 1996 models. LT5's were in the ZR-1 cars from 1990 to 1995, early cars were 385hp and later cars were 405hp.

All 1996 corvettes with manual transmission had the LT4, all 1996 Corvettes with automatic had the LT1. LT5 is the 32 valve motor in Corvette ZR1's from 1990-95.

why can't GM do something like this from the LS1 block... IMO-the LT5 is the best engine GM has made but a 32 valve LS1-WOW. Maybe they will-there is no LS5 yet!

LT5 is probalby the best 32 valve v-8 out there. WAAY better than anything the blue oval's got
There were also a small handfull of LT4 powered F-bodys. I don't remember the exact numbers, but I keep remembering 27 for SS in 97 for some reason.
