To the best of my knowledge (99%sure) that is accurate. If I'm wrong someone will catch me

The SS and WS6 came with the 3.23 gear for the Auto and the aluminum shaft. The M6 had the 3.42 gear and aluminum shaft (for 01' and 02' the 3.23 may have come on the base).

The base LS1 models ahd the 2.73 gear and steel drive shaft (although I am not sure what the M6 had in base form).

At least that is my understanding.

As far as I know every 2.73 car came with the steel drive shaft and that's it. All the 3.23 autos got the aluminium and all the M6s where aluminium with the 3.42s.

so if 3.23s have aluminum DS's, my dads 94 Z28 has 3.23s, did they put aluminun DS in 94?, hes not too fond of aluminum DS's im gonna ask if he wants to swap
