Default Found a Z28

Hi Guys,

New member here and I'm looking for a little general feedback on a car I may buy. It's a 2002 Z28, M6, with 30kmi on it. It is in really good shape with only a small scratch on the rear bumper. It has the original tires. It has no optional equipment. It has AC but no T-top, no PW, no PDL.

I would be the third owner. The original owner used the car in Florida and put 25kmi on it, he then sold it to a gentleman in New Hamphire. The car is very clean in and out and underneath. The car has never been driven in snow or salt/sand.

The price is $13,700. I think I'll be buying it on Friday. Does it sound like a good deal?

Thanks!

sounds pretty good to me. no options=less weight, and ahrdtops are a prized commodity round here. good mileasge for such a low price man... good luck with the buy and post up pics when you get ahold of her!!

that extra weight your saving is nice thing. no downside to that if your not a lazy ***. you could even make an offer for a little less with cash in your hand and use that extra cash in your pocket for your first mod or two. its just what i would do. im not syaing its a bad price tho.

I asked the guy to make sure the car is stone cold when I get there. I want to make sure it's not making any piston slap noises. I'll check the rest of it out as best I can, and do a title search. The car is still under factory warranty until August, I think.

I can live without the power windows but having to whip out a key everytime to unlock the door would be intollerable lol. I can install those items myself I guess. No problem with the hard top, I consider myself lucky to have found one.

This deal almost sounds too good to be true. The seller knows the car is worth more but he needs to unload it and he didn't like what they offered him on trade-in. I just hope it's not gone by the time I get to see it.

It's Silver BTW.

Thanks for the advice!

I got the car for $13.4k! This thing is like a blank canvas. Bone stock!

It came from the factory with the Hurst short throw shifter , 16" wheels , hard top, no power windows or door locks. It's pretty cool!

First mods are these wheels and tires:

...I know everyone has these but I like them abd the price is right.

I'll also slap in a K&N FIPK.

I wanna put an alarm in it and have keyless entry. Any recomendations on that?

Thanks!!!

congrats on your purchase! by the way, no power windows is a good thing in these cars

if you have warranty until august, I would not rush with major mods...

Thank you. Just doing the wheels and the FIPK for now. I'm broke!
