First I noticed that the price is too cheap. Then I read the description: "this car was in the katrina flood" and it gets worse from there.

[officer voice]Step away from the vehicle[/officer voice]

Unless you want to fix a real mess, stay away.
* No Keys (was this stolen?)
* No one has looked in the trunk (probably still full of water)
* It was in a flood yet the word "excellent" appears throughout the description?!?!?!
* Electrical is fried
Those are just the highlights (or low lights as the case may be).

Also I would never buy a car on ebay or in any other sight-unseen manner.

flood car for $10500???? Uhh STAY AWAY, I would not touch this car for more than 3K tops, you have no idea what is wrong with the car, it could need 30K worth or more of repairs, and how the hell do they know the engine runs ok when it doesnt come with keys?????

"this car was in the katrina flood...the electrical needs complete repair, the electrical does not work...the 2 back side windows are broken...it has a minor scratch in the right side in the back...this is a rear wheel drive the milage is unknown because the electrical does not work...this car is being sold here as is with no warranty...the key is missing...the trunk has not been opened..."

i got my car for $10,500 and it was nearly brand new, less than 25k on the clock! stay away from this pile of junk. it'll only be a problem for you. if you can't afford a GTO now, save up for it. i'd hate to see you make a 10 thousand dollar mistake

post #4 about sums it up.

Once a car has been flooded its never the same. I've seen people buy cars like that thinking they can restore it, but more problems just keep popping up. Its a never ending battle.

Dont do it.

Yeah, not worth the hassle...

The gauge cluster looks like it was under water, by the screwed up finish. If that is the case, the engine is probably flooded, the whole car was under water for (most likely) a long amount of time, etc, etc. The windows being busted out along with the lack of keys almost suggests that it was stolen on top of that...

I would definitely not get it. You dont know what really happened to that car, it is not worth the hassle for 10g's.

Nothing works and they don't have the key. Do you really want to spend 10k for something like that? No warranty, just a flooded car...

I'm willing to bet that car was home to lots of turds while the interior was filtering the Mississippi... I wouldn't even think about salvaging a single part off a submerged car.

The auction should be for the seller to pay someone to tow it away.

OK, Unless I read this WRONG, it says that there are NO KEYS. How do they know that the ENGINE still CRANKS FINE WITH NO KEYS. Im an idiot though, so Im sure Im missing something. I would say, HELL NO. Maybe for 10 dollars and 50 cents.

I doubt you're missing anything. Hell, they can't even open the trunk, lol.
