Default Finally got it to the track

Well I'm a little dissapointed with the times I ran. My best was 13.34@105, 2.0 60ft, .344 reaction. But that's on street tires and like 90 degree weather. There was a 2001 Z28 with 3000 stall, headers, cutout, TB off a 6.0 truck, and slicks that ran a best of 13.10 so I don't guess it's all that bad. Tell me what you guys think:because of the heat and humidity or bad driving.

Is your car totally stock? A4 or M6?

13.3 @105 isn't bad at all for a stock LS1, especially in 90* heat.

A4, lid, headers, catback. But that other dude had slicks and all that but he was 2/10s quicker than me, I'm gonna get some old Z28 wheels and put some ET streets on them and wait till the perfect day when it's like 50-60 degrees with a warm track temp, I should see 12's right.

With the mods you have (lid, headers, catback), and the fact you ran 13.3 with a 2.0 60 foot in 90* heat, I think that if you get some stickey tires, a 1.9 60 foot should be possibile even with stock gears and stall. I think 1.9 is the best I've ever seen from a stock gear (w/3.23 option), stock stall A4 car on really good tires. And if you run in better weather, (much cooler and low humidity), you could possibily get yourself into the very high 12s.

The hell it will.

Come to Ohio where the temp is just as hot and the humidity is always 70-100%.

Hey guys, my bad I was just going over that slip and my reaction was .488. That's damn near half a second. Man ****. If I would have got like a almost perfect r/t it would have been a 12 second pass easy. 13.34-.488=12.85

reaction time isn't added to your quarter mile. you can sit at the line for 20 seconds. your time won't be calculated until you move.

reaction time only matters in beating the guy next to you. your ET is unaffected.

You did good... I was racing in ~95 degree temps (track temp was 125) and only got 13.4 @ 104mph on a 2.1 60ft.... nice job.

Damn! thanks for clearing that up Choco. I would've never known had you not said anything. I thought time started at the green light all this time. So I should pay it no attention and just focus on not spinning since I'm just trying to get the best time I can get out of the car?
