Default 98 ss

so i found a 98 arctic white ss in perfect condition, new bfg kdw tires, untouched paint, never wrecked, driven in the summers only and has 49500 miles. he is asking 11500 for it and this seems like a great deal, not to mention i like the white as it seems to stand out more. so what do you guys think should i go for it?

and one more thing i was reading the differences from year to year and it says that not all SS's were sent to slp only the ones going for additional. but i called slp today with the vin and its build 2620/3025 so does this mean the car went to slp for additional options or not?

Sounds like a good deal. Im not sure about the slp question but you could check the door jam and see if it has the SLP sticker and it says what SLP did to the car. But if they gave you a build number im sure it went to them

11500 is too much. i would offer him 10 or so for it. i picked up my 98 Z28 for 9k +TTL and it only had 45k miles on it.

$11,500 sounds like a good deal. Unless these cars are unpopluar in your area, I'd be surprised if the seller will go much lower. But it doesn't hurt to try of course. I'd pay the $11.5k if he won't budge though.

i talked to the guy again today, im in northern california, and i have the car for 10750 if everything looks as good as he says, im gonna get it for that price as it seems a good deal to me and everyone else. he says it has the single side exhaust which i assume is the 2otl which im not crazy about but oh well, i hear it sounds decent, which will last me a little while. then i think im gona put on a loudmouth but i cant decide between 1 or 2.

The stock '98 SS exahust is just a single 3" outlet tip on the driver's side. It's not the SLP 2OTL system, which has 2 tail pipes on the left side.
