I'd wait until it's on it's last leg, then build a new engine. Maybe do bolt-ons now, that way you can swap them over to the new one as well. That's kind of what I'm doin with mine.

I almost love it when someone asks mileage on these cars, I usually have everyone beat. I just crossed 193k. Video in my sig.

Rebuild the one in the car if you can afford the downtime. Otherwise piece another one together in your garage so you can take your time and get the parts you want, then swap it in and minimize downtime. But being that you are in here asking this, you probably shouldn't do it yourself, its not really hard, but not a task for a rookie.

Not bad at all for a car in the 12's still. Theres only one LS1 on here that has me beat, and Im within 1k of him, closin the gap pretty fast since mine is goin at it day in and day out. Ill have to remember to take one, that would be an answesome sig.

^^^^ i remember awhile back, this guy said he had 354,xxx miles on his i believe(even took a pic of the odm to prove it). wasnt sure what mods he had, i think he kept it pretty stock. a lot of hwy miles. these cars can take a lot of abuse for a long time, if you keep the regular maintence up.

Ya I know some LT1's have me beat, which just makes them the few freak ones running around imo. But damn! Over 300k?! Thats crazy.

Of course mine will get a H/C setup on its stock shortblock. Run it till it goes click click boom!
