Help!!codes P0101, P0315, P0507 and P2761
I just swapped a stock 04 LQ4 motor into a 70 Blazer. Upon first start up the engine idled high ~1600 RPM so I assumed it was the IAC. IAC was switched to a known good one with no difference. IAC plunger was then wrapped with electrical tape to keep it closed. The tape brought the idle down to ~450 rpm. The idle screw on the throttle body was adjusted to bring the idle up to ~600 RPM. Computer was initially tuned by Current Performance. After the high idle I switched to a Diablo Predator tune, no difference. I now have the following codes showing up:
P0101-MAF
P0315- Crank Shaft Position Not Learned
P0507- Idle control system, RPM higher than expected
P0522-Oil Pressure low (stock oil sender isnt hooked up)
P2761- Minimum Idle Position not Learned
Any idea on possible causes? I also think the timing is very high on the engine. ~28 degrees at 1600 rpm and 44 degrees at 4000 rpm.
My next step is to remove the tape and see what happens.

if you dont have a scanner this will be in possible but you need to do a crankshaft postition relearn...this is something any smap on and or otc genisis scan tool can do....start there clear codes and keep us updated....

Removed the tape from the IAC and it's back to idleing at 1600 rpm. I was checking the timing in park and the results were typical. To correctly check the timing it should be in drive under a good load. Still showing all 5 codes.

Did you check all the fuses. Alot of the sensors are on the same fuse. I was getting like 5-6 codes one time, Failed MAF, Failed o2 sensors, reverse solenoid, etc. and it was the damned 20a mini fuse.

For the PO101 code If it also reads "Low Voltage" on a scan then the MAF its self is just about junk! I'd hit that sucker with some cleaner first tho and if it still does it aftet that then buy a new one.

I'll check fuses and see. I don't even think about things like that if the engine runs. Something to be said about carbs, mechanical fuel pumps and HEi ignitions.

I'll spray and see. If it had the wrong MAF on it what results would I get?

I checked the voltage to the coils, 14.74v. Sprayed the MAF with carb cleaner and the engine looking for a vacuum leak. Checked the grounds the two on the back of the head are good and tight the one from the bolck to the frame is good also. Checked all fuses. Fuel pressure was at 54psi bumped it up to 60. Still runs like crap and showing the codes.
