Default how much $$$ for gear swap?

how much would yall expect to pay for a gear swap? i have a friend who works for gm said he would swap my gears for me and wants to do it as a favor. but i cant let him do that because i know its hard work, so i gotta give him something.i was thinking atleast $200. although i should be putting this money towards a 12bolt, im just gonna test my luck.

Do it, I paid $800 to get it done. But that included the gears and install kit.

i already have the 4.11's, crush sleeves, and oil, but is $200 enough for the install or should i give him more. i figured that would be a fair price even thought he wants to do it for nothing.

We do the 10 bolts for $500 including the gears. We stock the Motive gears for most.

Wish we had a shop like u closer around, the only corvette specialist or f-body shop is c&s motorsports and they wanted $450 to swap gears and thats not including the gears and install kit or oil.

I paid $270 for my gear swap, but the mechanic put the wrong pinion seal in, then the pinion seal had to be replaced, then the bearing went out, and the bearings had to be replaced.

Now I have $895 in my 10 bolt that still whines a little bit.

Yes, I know, it wasn't the 10-bolts fault for having a bad mechanic...but it could happen to anyone, and I should have just put that money towards a built rearend.
