Unfortunataly if you try the free mod you will throw an SES code. At least thats what I have read. If you don't care then do the free mod. It's listed on ls1camaro.net.

And it doesn't cause any SES codes. I've had the on my 95 T/A and my 02 Hawk with no problems.

Here you go, fans will operate as normal and turn on when you tell them too. This will not throw any SES codes either...

OBD-I and OBD-II diagrams...

I used this same diagram to hook up a switch to the High Fan setting. I didnt really feel the need to hook one up to the Low setting or to use the LED's. I havn't ever thrown an SES code and love the fact that I can cool down between runs. I have the switch hidden in my ashtray so it isn't even visible unless you look in there.

Mine is the same, and didnt need the lights so then no resistors
I used a 10amp SPDT switch

there is a grommit under the CPU that is really easy to run the wires thru
the firewall
and if you use a mini switch it will fit to the side of the ashtray
very nicely

infact i did this on my lt1 and ls1
on the lt1 it will only work when the ignition is on
but the ls1 will work with ignition off so dont forget and leave it on

and there is enough room to put the antenna mod switch on the opposit side

Fan mod...... SPDT FOR NO LIGHTS, DPDT FOR LIGHTS

http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search

and a SPST for the antenna mod

Shouldn't you use a diode and not a resister of the OBD II one? The diode would keep all flyback voltage from going into the PCM.
