cooling fan switch mod?
Can someone please link or explain to me in detail what needs to be done so I can set up a remote switch for both my fans to cool between runs? I just need diagrams or explantion on which wires to tap into etc....im not very good with electrical.... i saw a link once on here about just splicing into two wires and not touching any relays or anything like that but now i cant find it. thanks a ton for the advise...id like to get this done by tonight.

I used this same diagram to hook up a switch to the High Fan setting. I didnt really feel the need to hook one up to the Low setting or to use the LED's. I havn't ever thrown an SES code and love the fact that I can cool down between runs. I have the switch hidden in my ashtray so it isn't even visible unless you look in there.

I used a 10amp SPDT switch
there is a grommit under the CPU that is really easy to run the wires thru
the firewall
and if you use a mini switch it will fit to the side of the ashtray
very nicely
infact i did this on my lt1 and ls1
on the lt1 it will only work when the ignition is on
but the ls1 will work with ignition off so dont forget and leave it on
and there is enough room to put the antenna mod switch on the opposit side
