Default nitrous fill question

Is there any benefit to filling a bottle from empty then from a bottle that has like 4lbs left?

Not that I know of. It may be harder to do without a pump.

Whenever I fill a bottle that has 1-2 lbs. left in it, I just empty it. That chills the bottle and speeds up the fill time.

I'm not sure if it really matters.

I dont like the hit after 4lbs and most places it seems like only want to fill empty bottles. I'd rather not waste the 4lbs everytime on both bottles

If you have a pump it doesnt matter. When I fill bottles, its just as easy to do it both ways

I thought you were getting a NANO setup? NANO has a complete 15# system on Ebay for $339

I would recommend at least purging the bottle prior to filling it. No need to empty it.

I use the freeze and fill method and have no problem. Takes about two times though to get it full.

Just toss the bottle in the freezer, and it'll fill great.

where'd you get this information?
my nano kit works flawlessly with my hsw bottle.

i contacted harris speed works through their website back in may before i bought the nano kit and asked:
I have the HSW sudden impact dry kit with the 10lb bottle and I was wondering if a NANO kit will work with the valve that comes with the
HSW supplied bottle?
their email response:
from Customer Service @ Harris Speed Works <customer-service@harrisspeedworks.com>

Yes it will.
so who is spreading misinformation that it won't? have they changed the bottles in the last few months or something?

last time i asked the question I was told it wouldnt that the valve does not have that hole in the inside that is needed. Maybe someone from HSW can chime in...I got my kit when they were offered dirt cheap last jan

How many ports do you have on the sides of your bottle? Is your bottle empty now? If you've got a gauge on the side of the bottle that contantly reads pressure wether the valve is open or not then you should be able to the NANO without any problems.

Yes the valves we use will allow the use of a system like that. The only thing you need to know is the through hole diameter. I can double check them dim for you on monday if need be. You would just have to either ditch the gauge or move it with an inline adapter.

side port where the guage is has to have a vent into the bottle. When I asked last time was told that hsw's guage port wasnt a push set up

You need to know if their pressure port accesses the siphon tube or the pressure above the liquid.

The base of the valve should have a small hole that lines up with the pressure port if it compatible.

this is a NX 45* valve...it has 2 pressure ports...as you can see there is only one port on the base, so only one of the side ports can be used with the NANO
