I'm pretty sure you have to, but I'm not sure, I have a friend that did, but idk if it is a must. I'm sure someone using it will know.

Is it going to be a wet or dry shot? I'd go with a dry shot and look into the HSW interface that seems like it would be a nice setup. I think that's what i'm going to go with.

It depends on how much timing you have in your car right now. You will more than likley have to take a couple of degrees out, unless you get a timing tuner(or somthing like that), then you can take timing out with it.

I always thought a wet shot was better on an LS1. Ive had 3 SS but this is the first one i have had H/C and just wanna do stuff right. My last one was just and auto with LT's and gears and a stall and went 11.6 on 100 wet shot.

there's ups and downs to both.. dry shot is just easier to install, and with only a 75-100 its perfectly safe.. Get a controller or timing tuner so you can pull a couple degrees when you spray and run normal timing under N/A conditions.

i had the car tuned with heads, cam, and bolt on's timing was set at 26degrees, i than installed 100shot, tuner said it wasn't going to hurt with that timing, if i go with a bigger shot than yea diffinet retared timing 4 degrees..so check it out.....i'm no expert !!!!!

With a wet shot, and a decent tuner, there should be NO change in the PCM for anything 100 shot and under given there is 93 octane in there and TR-6 plugs.

If you were to do 125 to 150, I would have some timing taken out and add a little fuel to richen it up. It doesnt hurt normal N/A power but its whats going to keep #7 piston alive.

wet shot will leave you room to go bigger....but if you don't want more than 100hp I'd go dry. My experience is it's never enough....I started at 125 and now at 250 LOL.

Upgrade your fuel system and go with a wet shot.

I like a dry kit, but what % were the injectors on your car?

I have a racetronix fuel pump, most of the nitrous safety things and a timing tuner. I am spraying 125, 150 next summer. This is a wet kit. No tune, no problems...yet.

You do not need a tune, but that does rely on a few things. First a foremost, you do want to verify your A/F ratio regardless of what type of system you are running. If you have a wideband gauge thats great, if not just have a few dyno pulls with wideband done. The biggest reason you would need a tune is if you decide to pull timing through the tune. If you do not use a device like the Ls1 timing tuner or the interface and you are running a shot larger then 150, then yes you would need some tuning work done to bring the timing down. The interface can make tuning a dry shot much much easier and depending on your injectors you can run a much larger dry shot than 100-125

here is a good current thread to help you understand why we need to pull timing and how you can actually make more horsepower on less timing with nitrous
