Default 150 wet shot on stock fuel system?

Hey guys, quick question:

I have full standard bolt ons in my '98 ss camaro.
Can I change my nitrous jets from 100hp at the flywheel to a 150 shot without changing the stock fuel system?

I also need to know what jets I'll need for my regular NOS system nozzle.

Any help would be appreciated as I will have it tuned for this over the weekend.

Thanks, James

On a 125 shot my bolt on CTS-V was pretty much topped out on the stock fuel system and I THINK that the fuel system in the CTS-V is a little more robust then the one in the 98 camaro. Not 100% sure though.

You're pushing it with the 150 shot on the stock pump.

So basically I should just buckle down and install the 255 Walbro pump I have. I kinda figured I would have to. I plan on putting a cam and an LS6 intake on it anyways.

yes. it would be very close on a 150 hit on the stock pump. I wouldnt risk it personally.

I just look at it this way: Whats cheaper, a fuel pump and hotwire kit, or an engine? Why take the chance. pumps are relatively cheap, and better safe than sorry.

Walbro fuel pumps aren't that expensive. Hell, I plan on changing my fuel pump for my little 125 shot, lol.

Agreed. Why take the chance when there are easy plug and play kits available such as the racetronix kit.

definitely would replace the fuel pump. For around $120 and a day in the garage with an extra set of hands, you could get it done easily. Highly recomended

With you wanting to put a cam in the car and intake on the car you are goin to have to upgrade the pump if you want to spray. The factory pump in the car is only good to around 450-480rwhp from what we have seen.

i agree, go ahead and put in a good pump. better safe than sorry.
on a side note when i was cam only i still had the stock pump in it and hit it with a 150 rw shot (on the dyno) and it held 513 rwhp but started gradually leaning out alittle so i'm sure it was dropping pressure but was still in a safe range for a/f.
