Default How much can I spray my setup?

Iron 408
Eagle H beams
Eagle crank
Wiseco Pistons
Steel Top ring
PRC 237CC heads
ARP head studs
11:1 Compression
Stand alone fuel system for nitrous.

I want to spray the max out of it This is not my daily driver anymore. It will have a stand alone fuel system. Most likely divided into 2 stages. I havent picked out my Kit yet, I might do a direct port followed up with a 90MM plate for the stage 2.

A normal non nitorus piston has a limit of around 200-250hp range.

If the pistons are dedicated for nitrous then you should have the potential to go upwards of 300hp+

It would best for the engine builder to answer this question!!

i as well have a 408 iron.

i'm running 11.5 to 1 compression. anyways i went to the track last week i went 11.23 @123 in the blistering heat. i am going to be adding a nitrous kit as well.

i have decided i'm only going to add what it takes to get in the 9's if i can do it with a 100shot.. then i'll leave it at that. i'm not going to start spraying more and more nitrous just to drop tenths. as thats what it will be at that point.

what i mean is if i get a 9.99 on a 100 shot. i'm not going to do a 250 shot just to run a 9.50

It depends on the way your cam is cut and what pistons you have

That's the basically same combo I have. My wiseco pistons are the 8cc reverse dome nitrous pistons. i also had it built for 300 plus shots, meaning things like .028 top gap and .022 2nd gap were implemented. I run 11.25 compression and motor is capable of 1000hp and that's what i wanted. also the good L19 head studs were used. So if your wanting a 300 or more shot there are things to consider if you want the motor to last. We added a vacuum pump to help the loose nitrous motor and the resulting blow by. i would say with the limited info you have put up that a 300 shot is doable, esp if you staged it. but as has been stated, if you don't know already, talk to your builder and see what he says. my motor will see a 350rwhp shot in the near future. Now with all that said the Vette can be put into the nines, with 600/700hp depending on auto or stick, pretty easily so your n/a numbers should be close to 500rwhp and you only need a couple hundred HP before you need the full Monty in safety department...

Did you ever get an answer from your builder? Mine's no longer in business (yeah, I know ... *sigh*)
I have a set of -13cc forged Wiseco pistons in my 383 ... I've been looking for answers to the same questions.
If they're my weak link, I suppose 200-250 will have to be my limit for now.

Piston PN PT095H3
Ring PN 4030H
