Default 9's on stock shortblock?? yup I did it

Finally got everything together today and was able to get to the track. This is just you basic cam only car, stock heads, stock bottom end with a plate. Nothing too fancy just hard work. We were able to make a pretty decent pass today.....

1.39 sixty foot
6.24@ 110 1/8 mile
9.86 @ 139

This was a 150 shot ( 62N, 33F) HSW plate on real low bottle pressure due to a bad nitrous solenoid or something like that. Went 11.04 125 on motor the pass before with the nitrous converter in it.

There is more to come as we ran out of bottle to make any more changes and go quicker, next time out we will up the jets and shoot for that 5.9x 1/8 miles pass.

Anyways want to say thanks to HSW, Greg@FTI Converters, Mark Romans Designs Tuning, Theo@ Wizard Racing and all the many more who have helped us out.

Oh yea, garage built car that weighs 3380 pounds with me in it. Heavy son of a gun. will have video later.

Great job man, especially on stock heads! By the way which heads are you running?

It has the MS3 in it, been in the car for about 3 years now, and the stock 241 heads with prcs on it. Over 300 passes with this motor. Gotta love it.

Thanks guys.

Nice pass!

Just curoious what bottle pressure has to due with a nitrous solenoid, unless it was leaking?

The solenoid would not open with anymore then 750 bottle pressure in it. Either the solenoid itself or our wiring, I'll talk to the HSW guys soon and we will get it figured out. No big deal. Just a better time to come.

Congrats! Time for a title change, along with adding your ET to the Stock Cube Nitrous List.

Thanks! And a big thanks to you guys at HSW. The plate is doing a great job. Thanks for all the help and support. Yup crazy to think we can drop 200+ plus pounds off it and up the jet. It will fly, oh yea and add some heads to it. In the end it is all about money.

Ill shoot you a pm when I get some time, been a long day, but great day.

Your mph pickup (14+ mph) on a 150 shot is no joke! What's your timing set at and are you using a nano system?

Yup and 28 mph back half, it is making some power and to think on only 750 or so bottle pressure and prolly 6 or so lbs of nitrous after wasting a bunch trying to find our problem. .

Our .86 pass we had 18 in it from 26 and it was a bit conservative based on the plugs. We will have to wait til we get bottle pressure back before we can make any real tuneup changes. No nano, just a simple 10 pound bottle setup.

I know someone will ask, so it has the BR7EF plugs in it. will go the 8's when we go to 200, have 2 sets sitting in the trailer.
