Default NANO/nitrous jetting?

I'm putting a Nitrous Outlet wet plate kit on our 2004 Corvette. The jets for a 150 shot are 62/38. NANO calls for you to either go down 25% on the nitrous or up 25% on the fuel. That would then be 55/38 or 62/42. Which would you go with to keep the 150 shot? I'm going to tune it on the dyno with our tuner and will adjust accordingly depending on what the dyno says as well as the air/fuel but need to know what to start with.

Thanks.

Scott

Why are they calling for that?

The NANO pushes more nitrous so to keep the tune correct and safe you have to decrease the amount of nitrous or increase the amount of fuel.

Contrary to what Nano states, it does not need changes to the fuel jetting. Let alone, the jet chart from alot of nitrous companies are already on the rich side. Just make sure to pull more timing.

Thanks Brandon. That's where we will start.

I hope you or your tuner knows how to read plugs or have a wideband. I bet it will still be rich with that jetting, unless the nitrous bottle is at sub 40* temps (nano shines when the nitrous bottle is cold). Also, street tuning is way to go for what you're doing.

I have alot of experience with nano with freezing the nitrous bottle down to 440-475 psi then adding the nano on top and its F ing nasty. I feel you need a fast xfi, holley, or another o2 correction device to help. After 55 plus runs and 3 sets of pistons I have a pretty good handle on it. I wouldn't mess with chilling / freezing unless you are in a jet limited class. On my personal car I don't even run a push system but I'm able to pill kit kit to whatever I wish, currently twin .082 jets. For your base tune up I would run a extra step colder plug and pull 8 to 10 degrees. Are you running a stand alone fuel cell or off the rail? Have you been running nitrous on this combo before or is this all new?

No, no stand alone system. We only plan on spraying 150 and my understanding was that the stock pump could handle it. We're running off the fuel rail. It's a 2004 Corvette. We already have colder plugs to put in and always run the Lingenfelter box to pull timing. It's a new combination. The car has been 11.58 bolt-on but we are hoping to spray it solidly into the 10s.

I wouldn't trust the stock pump. You might wanna invest in a racetronix and/or standalone in the future. You may decide to upgrade to h/c and up the shot one day.

We are already making plans to go H/C in hopes of going 9s. I don't believe anyone makes a pump for the '04 do they? Lingenfelter/Walbro pumps only fit '97-'03. What are my pump options?

^I'm not sure on the Vettes. You might wanna call Racetronix or post up in the fueling/injection section.

Look into boost a pumps. They will get you extra fuel out of the stock pump. I know kenne bell makes one and I think lingenfelter does too.

Stand alone fuel cell hands down. Enrichment with race gas is the ticket.
