button allows you to launch at full throttle then hit the nitrous. but i use a microswitych. i launch full throttle, then turn on hte power switch. then once the run is over i let off the throttle. which in turn turns off the nitrous.

I use a microswitch. Especially if I am a M6, I don't want to worry about shifting and pushing a button at the same time. I want all my concentration on my driving.

So anyone care to explain what the difference is?

Well I know what a "button" is, how does a "microswitch" work, what's it look like, etc?

microswitch, mounts on the TB and only sprays when at WOT.

personally, if i wanted to have a button, i would simply run both

I've done many installs, where you have the option of wot only , or wot and button.

So isn't that basically a WOT switch?

I have a switch that I rigged up at the throttle body, it gets pushed when I am either at WOT or like 98% there. I have that WOT switch then an arming switch inside the car. Would that be considered a "button" switch?

typically a system needs an arm switch no matter what, and then either a button, or a wot switch (microswitch on the tb)

the arm is not considered the button, but your setup would be the microswitch setup

I use a microswitch ... Its really easy for me to modulate that last little bit of the pedal where the nitrous kicks on.. If the tires spin, I back off just enough to kill the spray, then get back in it when it hooks.. A LOT easier in a six speed than trying to fumble with a button, steer, shift, and hit pedals Its just like driving normally, with a touch more power.
