Default Nitrous build

Just started hooking up my NX system today. Putting up some pics as I go.

Best spot I found to mount the bottle without a remote bottle opener. If I had one I would've probably put it in the spare tire area, but I feel this is a good spot as well.

We custom made the mount for the solenoids, I think it worked out well.

The nozzle doesn't go directly to the middle of the inside of the bezel. I figure this can't really be a problem since it will all be rushing in there so fast with all the air being sucked in the engine. If I am wrong on this, please let me know.

This is all I have for now, still have to wire bottle heater, WOT, window switch, and purge. More to come..

Oh and if anyone is wondering what the red car in the background is,

Nice start.

How big of a shot are you planning on running?

What are the specs on the car?

Looks like sheet metal screws holding that bottle bracket down. Make sure you use bolts and nuts on the backside. Don't need that thing coming off if you get into trouble.

Bolt on car with a 75-100 shot for now. They are self tapping screws. I can't pull the mount off with two hands. It's on there good.

Yeah you think that till you smack the wall or roll it. Hope it doesn't happen. 900 psi bottle with the valve getting knocked off is not a happy thing.

Personally, I wouldn't be worried about the broken valve, I'd be more worried about the 30+ pounds of metal flying at the back of my or my passengers head. You really should use some bolts, nuts, and washers to secure it. If something did happen, you might not get the chance to do it right the second time.

Break the valve off and you have a 30lb propelled projectile

We did take out the PCM, if it needs the idle relearned now? If it leaked where the nitrous nozzle goes in could that be a cause also?

It sounds like you may be having a problem with your throttle position sensor or idle air control. Check all of your wires to make sure none were damaged during your installation, and it wouldn't hurt to run an OBD reader on it either.

Thanks, I have an OBD reader handy I may go check into it. I bet its my IAC because I have had a problem with my idle dipping when coming to a stop which I thought to be a Brake Booster vacuum leak but this would make sense as well.
