Default 5.3 what fuel?

I'm getting ready to start running my nova (1966 tube chassis 5.3 with Martin specd cam and stinger plate) on some spray probably around a 200 shot eventually( start at a 100 and work my way up) and I as wondering should I run c16. I don't have a standalone it's a a2000 pump ran to a y block. Kind of new to nitrous and looking to be safe as possible

Whats your compressiin ratio? Plenty of people spraying 200 and a little more on regular pump gas with head/cam motors. The money saved on fuel will esily pay for the nitrous. And the little power gained from better fuel you can make up with a little bigger jet.

Whatever a lm7 has I think it's like 9:5.1 or something like that. Not really worried about power as I am being safe didn't know if the c16 would help keep it together lol while I try to figure it out

How are you tuning? What are you using to pull timing?

I run VP 110 just to keep it a little safer. Bigger tuning window if you make a mistake on your tune up. And I have several times.

Race fuel does give you a little more margin, but for a 200 pump gas can be just fine. Pull plenty of timing and run a cold plug to start and be safe, then slowly bring it back in
