I have a nitrous car and a turbo car. My nitrous ls1 will b e changing to turbo over the winter. The nitrous is great on the launch but after that you will never see peak tq again since its at a low rpm. Its just to easy to make big power with a turbo. If you are just looking for 550whp nitrous is great but if you are looking for 850whp the amount of nitrous you would have to run is very very hard on parts. When you hit it with 400-450 shot @ 3k rpms the instant spike is much more violent than boost coming on over a few hundred rpms. If you are looking for a adrenaline rush go with a turbo. My car runs mid 10's on a 150 shot and I will jump up to a 250 before I go turbo. It feels good on the launch but after that the car feels slow. With a proper sized turbo the higher you rev the more power it will make and the last 660' of the track its just pulling harder and harder.

turbo will ultimately make more power safely IMO. But to me we are talking about going turbo to try to get the max possible power out of limited cubes. For instance...if you want 1300 hp from a 346...you could probably design a turbo to do that. It would be tough to get a nitrous motor to do tha same.
However if your doing a mild turbo setup with a goal of 600 rwhp or a nitrous setup with that same goal...Id take the nitrous setup. And if you set it up with dual stages it will be safe and very very fast.
As far as how it feels...I hate lag. Sure it comess on hard with power...but when I line up with a Supra that makes 700 rwhp at 40 mph and we both stomp the go pedal...I am GONE and usually pull two to three cars right from the start. Nitrous is much harder hitting and instant.
