Default NX or ZEX?

Which wet kit do all of you feel is a better choice?

NX or ZEX ???

how long can a spray last during a race in an automatic.

The zex kit sprays the whole time? There is only a arming switch.
So I guess if you want to quit the spray in the middle of a race you have to flick it off.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Ed

NX is better quality IMO, but Zex is a decent kit.
Either kit can be set up with a window switch, WOT, FPSS, any of the accessories that you want if that's what you're getting at with the "ZEX only has an arming switch" thing....
Just a side note, make sure you ditch that HPP3 programming in your sig before you spray.

Both are good kits, I just prefer NX.

As long as you have your Kit setup correctly and its not a HUGE shot On your Motor You can spray the entire time if you wanted till your bottle is Dry.The Race should only last 12 seconds or so

Yes you can spray while the auto shifts. Go with the NX kit. Much better quality.

With an automatic you can spray her thru all of the shifts. However, if your HP setting is too high you can brake parts in a STOCK trans. Also, keep in mind that you will probably get real loose spraying thru the 1-2 SHIFT without good tires/suspension mods.

So is it safe to spray on and off.

As it

Can I spray in first or second let off the button and then spray again after a shift?

Or will this just put to much abuse on the car it self?

Thanks

It is safe to spray on and off. Do you plan on having a hand held activation switch (button)? Why do you want to do that? Trying to save your transmission?

Zex has a lot of good saftey fetures built in and would be good for your first kit but i do think that NX rates there kits to the wheels while zex rates them to the crank.

Most kits will come with some kind of throttle position sensor so you are spraying at 100% throttle. It could be an electronic throttle position sensor(TPS) or a mechanical switch on the throttle body itself. I know the Zex kit comes with a single box that includes the nitrous/fuel solonoids and the TPS switch. If you do not want to spray when the transmission is shifting get a window switch. This will allow you only to spray through certain RPM's. It is also a great safety device just in case the car bogs on the line or you hit your rev limiter. I use a Zex kit right now. It is a great beginner kit if you don't want to spray over 125hp. The HP ratings are rated from the crankshaft.

I've had both...you'll grow out of the Zex. NX MAF is very nice. NX Customer service is excellent too. I'll never get tired of posting this. BTW - I got my NX from Nitrous Outlet...aka Nitro Dave...great guy...lots of knowledge and patience too. See GMHighTechPerformance Magazine Jan 2006 if you can.
