Will a 200 shot spilt a forged short block?
My mods are in my sig, and have forged shortblock and i am looking to spray a 200 shot. I called a shop and they told me that i couldn't spray that much all at once because it would spilt the block? Anyone else have problems spraying that much? I have an LS6 block too, with a hotwire racetronics kit

This isn't a freaking Ford 302 man! It would take a very uncommon catastrophic event to "split" the block in our cars. People have had success in the past spraying 200 on a stock motor for years. Your forged motor(assuming your pistons and tune is up for it) will be fine.
You need to find a new shop.

Just to let you know I sprayed a 200 shot on a 18x,xxx mile 302 for probably 2 years believe it or not I should have never taken that motor out. I sold it in one piece to a buddy of mine did new rings and bearings and is still running it...Your LS1 is nice but dont count out the ole 302....it might be old but its proven....
Sounds very impressive to say the least, but being a mustang guy, you know all too well this picture for the 302:

Yea the block is setup for a 300 shot according to Brian when I purchased the block from LME last year. No i picked up like .4 or .5 tenths on a 80 shot, which was last year. The car last year on the motor ran 12.2s and this year it is running 11.69s. So i am hoping to hit 10s with spray. I just don't know how big to go or how to go about spraying it. I have an FJo controller, i just not sure how big i want to go and how i want to spray the car exactly. Any help would be appreciated.
