Get your buddies car and design the panel, but to ask for peoples help to take moneys out of someones pocket just isn't right.

If you are a decent machinist, design your own- No one would fault you for that- In fact we would ask to see pics- but to steal someone else design...

Maybe try a new career, if you can't measure an ash tray opening.

I can design it just fine!!!!!!!!!! I just want to know how it is attached to the ashtray !! Also I am not trying to take money out of any ones pocket. Forget that I asked about it!!! I will just measure it my self! I want to make a panel so that I can customize it to my standards to have different switchs like Line-lock, Fan switch, and nitrous. Thanks guys

Gravity and a correct fit I believe. Never seen a complaint on fit on his panels, and I know Dave takes great pride for not needing double sided tape or adhesives on them .

It gets pretty cramped in that ashtray area as well. There are other places to put switches in the F-Body .

Thanks for the info!! I know that there are other places, but I want an hidden spot that is also easily assessable. Do you have any other suggested spots?

under the arm rest would still be hidden, but you wouldnt be able to junk it up anymore. I have all wires hooked up on my Ash tray panel(System arm, heater,purge,opener..and that is a really really tight fit I could only imagine stuffing more stuff in there.

I did one for 2 Fast Motorsports in the armrest. That was alot tougher to fit than the ashtray especially since I don't own a F-Body! That was an 11 Switch Two stage for a TA (Water pump/Line Lock/Standalone + two separate nitrous and heater systems). It took the entire inside of the armrest.

While driving it would be, at the track no issues. It was for one of their track cars.

Probably for your application, a half armrest panel would work, guessing maybe 5 switches?

In the armrest some 1/2" angle aluminum double sided sticky taped under the panel would hold it in place.
