yeah, he makes Bobby's "not going to mod it" statement actually sound true in comparison. Although I suppose that stuff and the forced induction still qualify under the "a few bolt ons, maybe" statement he made when I last saw him, LOL!

Um yeah as soon as he put that turbo on, I was thinking why did he get rid of his old car again.....? Although after my cam is installed I'm REALLY not going to mod it anymore

I love it!!!

Can you imagine how it would be if we all had unlimited budgets? I'd be two places - garage or driving. Well, and eating and sleeping once in a while.

He got rid of his old car so he could build another one...then another...then another..... You can never have enough horsepower...building cars like that is like an injection...you just can't stop....

Just wanted to pass this along...Saw it in the new issue of Popular Hotrodding about methanol injection. Here is the site where they sell the kit, not a bad price.

Snow Performance

I thought I read somewhere that you were going this route. Seems like a great idea for boosted applications. Make it safer and adds about 50rwhp.

I figured you were allready down the road with the project, but it caught my interest reading the magazine. Seems to be the buzz now a days. Post pics when you get a chance. I am on modding hold for now but the kit interests me, can't beat safer and faster, I guess, if it is set up correctly.

Thought I would shoot some info your way, I can not wait till you get it running.

550...9.99 1/4?

So when is it injected in the intake...4th gear above 3k rpms at WOT? What is the 2 stage kit is it used in 3rd and 4th gear?

Can you explain when the injection is used...The article shows the installition and talks about all the good things it does but not when to use it.

They say it lowers the temp like 50 degrees.

Sorry for bugging you, I just want to know.

The stage two kit is a progressive boost controlled system, Meth is injected any/every time you get into boost. It has an "on" point and a "full" point so when boost reaches the on point, it starts the flow of the pressurized methanol, then as pressure increases, it goes to full flow. It cools the intake air charge, and increases the effective octane of the fuel allowing you to run more ignition timing, thus more power with out detonation.

It is sprayed anywhere in the intake piping but for best results, after the intercooler.

And I think you also get more power from the water turning to steam at combustion as well as cooling the air. I bet this thing is going to be a BEAST at the track next time!
