Yes, I'm going to see the new Star Wars movie opening weekend... anyone else want to go? Racing is that weekend (21st), but maybe some of us who are interested can go Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night? Anyone interested?

One week too soon.

I am gonna see it down here.....probably that Thursday, like around noon or so.........the last 2 that came out on Wednesday (midnight), I went to see the next day in the early afternoon and the theatres were MAYBE 1/2 full. I like it MUCH better that way. No loud, tall, rude, cell phone talking idiots to bother me so I can immerse myself in the happiness and fun that is Star Wars.

Yeah, I'd like to go on Thursday or Friday afternoon. I'm not going to a midnight opening show... I hate standing in line for 2 hours (even though I have tickets) just to get a good seat and not have to sit next to large smelly pimple-faced guy with a homemade lightsaber and a paper bag over his head as his "Wookie Armor". No thanks...

I am a total fanatic, BUT I draw the line at dressing up and/or standing in line for more then about 30 minutes.

My wife and I plan on going as a late b-day present to me, but I think I'll go to the theater down here. Yes I'm a sci-fi nut but not to the extent of dressing up or any other extreme. My wife hated sci-fi when we got married, but now she is a trekkie and sci-fi nut.

How long is that drive gonna be? Just curious....when I came home from Seattle after Xmas (1200 miles), I drove straight thru, and with stops (for me & my dog) as well as the snow and torrential rain I hit, it took about 21-22 hours.

I'll be hitting this one up on a matinee the day after the midnight release. Its nice having a movie theatre less than 5 minutes walking distance from the office.

Talking about the Galleria, right? I'll come wit ya if you don't mind... that's one of the closer theaters to my work too. I wanted to take the afternoon off from work and go see it anyhow.

I bought my tickets the first day they were available. One for the 12:01 am opening showing on Wednesday night then the 10pm showing at the Cinerama Thursday. It will be interesting since I will be in Microsoft meetings all day in Redmond the 19th. I don't know if I will be able to stay awake through them all.

The midnight showings down here in the south end still have tickets available... at Parkway Plaza at Southcenter the first two screens are sold out, but they're still selling tickets for the third and fourth screens.
