Yup, the passenger side works like a champ. (for now that is)
I think the motors toast. It did it to me at the track last year. It was one of the hottest days and it stuck for a minute then worked.
Today my drivers side door had the sun beating on it all day long, I went to move it so I rolled the window down and about 2/3's of the way down it quit working. I messed with it a bit and got it to go all the way down and there she sits.
I parked in the shade just now and I'll bet dollars to donuts that when I go back outside to go home it will work. The motor's very close to being shot and the extra heat of baking in the sun all day probably made it shut down on the internal overload when i went to use it.

Might be time to look at a Magnum or a Charger.

So I got the motor replaced last thursday.
I washed it on Saturday, guess what isn't adjusted correctly? Yup, my window stops are off. It needs to go up about an eigth of an inch more to seal in the weather stripping.
This is hilarious anymore. I mean isn't there a procedure to check that? Hello? limit switch adjustment after an install anybody? Common sense seems to be non existant anymore.

Hey, they don't pay those monkeys at the dealership enough to think...or read....much less follow procedures. Damn that suck the big one Rick!!! You must be getting pretty tired of this crap.

Well, here's an option, if you really wanna take it...
If you're having trouble with the dealer, create a case with GM's customer service and take the steps to try to resolve it through that means. If you are unsuccessful in that, I have the phone number of the head of GM's Warranty Division, and can call him up and get some bigger guns on the case... but in order to go that route, there has to be a case in existance with GM's customer service department, and you have to have tried to resolve it through that route.
Let me know if that's something you wanna do.
