Default Short or Long Block needed

I've been playing with some different stuff (on other boards) and got a pm asking if I could check anywhere possible for this. PM me if you have a lead. No, it isn't for anyone that runs local of course but the person asking is true blue, not scam crap.
This is the pm I got:

A close friend of mine in Vegas just called me and said he had a valve break off his motor and it chewed the **** out of the block and the valve is now permanently affixed to the cyl head. Basically he needs a new motor. This guy doesnt know anything about these cars he just loves his '01 WS6. The shop that looked at the car wants 13K to put a new motor in it for him. His response was "let me call my buddy that wrenches on these cars and see what he says".

So I need to try and locate him either a short or a long block. Hes not looking to spend anything over 3K for this and would prefer to keep it under that if possible. He has offered to fly me to vegas and foot my bill for everything if I come down and install the motor for him.

So if you guys have a line on anything, PLEASE post up and let me know what you have. He isnt worried about getting a motor shipped to him so it doesnt matter where its at (unless its nova scotia or some **** WAAAAY out there).

Let me know guys.
The guy looking for a block is just getting his feet wet and doesn't have a huge budget, he's done some impressive runs so far, would hate to see him get held up for too long. There is no competition here so if you know - post up

On the 1st option the motor is $3K w/o wiring and computer. Tell him I could pay the $250 extra to get the harness/ecu.

Looked at the listings here, most will be over budget with shipping it really needs to come in under 3K. I don't trust craigslist for stuff like this and I'm not about to run around town to check them out. Local is trusted sources
