Default So purty...

When I saw it on the samples, I didn't think the darker colored coating would look near as nice as it does on the finished product... Performance Coatings did the job, the color is called "grey ice"

Looks great, Zeke! Performance Coatings is awesome... their coating is way better than any of the other coatings I've seen out there (Jet Hot, etc).

That's the Kooks catted y-pipe that matches the headers, and I believe they're Magnaflow cats. Can't wait to get them on the car so it actually sounds like a real muscle car for a change.

I have parts at Performance Coatings also! I just went with good ol' Cerami-chrome. Getting all of my charge pipes and the downpipe.

Sweet!

It was $250 for the coating I got, then I had them ship the headers back to be UPS, so all said and done including tax it was $297.

I didn't go with the "chrome" finish because it's apparently only rated at 1300 degrees and tends to dull quickly, where the darker satin finishes are rated at 2000 degrees. This one particular color looked a lot smoother than the others, too... so that's why I opted for it.

Working on it... I just don't have the equipment I need to do a header install at my house. They'll go on as soon as I either have access to a lift, or I can get an appointment somewhere to do the installation. I still gotta yank all the EGR/AIR stuff off the car, too.

Hey zeke, i don't mean to hijack but i had a question maybe you'd be able to answer, when i got mine back from PC, they gave me a note that told me how to take care of the coating an it said something about 3 heat cycles before doing a dyno run, so what does a "heat cycle" consist of?
