are you talking about the rear? cause thats not something like the front fenders that you ca just replace easily. if an area needs to be fixed in the rear, it has to be completely cut out, and replaced with a section out from a donar car, since the whole rear section of the car (minus the bumper) is all one piece.

won't be cheap. hopefully it can be repaired and not need to be replaced

It also depends on how far in the damage goes. Often some of the inner panels need replacing or straightening.

it has inner structure to it, as a whole, yes it is part of the entire rear end, but if you have a spot weld cutter, you can just replace one quarter pannel, but let me warn you, there is a metric **** ton of spot welds holding that panel in.

I'm an auto body tech, replacing a quarter on these cars ... Basically whatever amount your thinking multiply it by 2 and it still will likely not be enough. Quarter replacements on any car is difficult, on these cars it's even more so because of the amount of spot welds and the fact that the sail panel band is glued on...

1/4 replacement on these cars isn't bad to do yourself with moderate novice skills. I've done several cab corner replacements to repair rust, and this was my first 1/4 skin... really not that bad at all, just time consuming... and a **** ton of spot welds like mentioned before.

That's the easier way to do it by splicing it around the sail panel.
