2002 ss - lt1 front

True story here....just last week im driving down the garden state parkway, I see this black car coming up pretty quickly in the fast lane. I say to myself "this guy in this camaro is moving" as the car becomes about two car lengths from me i say "holly **** thats a chrysler sebring". Being a cop a watch cars passing by everyday while I'm on duty for 12 hours...I'd like to say I'm pretty good at picking out cars based on appearance. This one fooled me. shame on you GM

here they are, my 97' 396 Z28, and my 02' SS. Was able to get both cars together, seeing that they have had an hour distance from them. The Z has had an exhaust leak, causing the O2 sensor on the driver side to dump a lot of fuel. So needless to say its running rich. That issue will be fixed after its done with paint. Going with new header gaskets, putting all new plugs in, as well as new O2 sensors.

The 97' is put back together as far motor, trans, and rear work done to it. This picture was taken at the body shop just the other day, before it gets torn down for prep and paint. Was able to get both cars together seeing that they were an hour away from one another.

Johnp love the clean look on that lt1 of yours..nice work man. that blue with chrome and white marker lights looks hot. So I decided to let the fun begin with this project. Got my 02' SS home and decided that the strips had to go. I ordered springs for it today as well as the adj. panhard bar, so it will be lowered by next week.
what remains of all that vinyl
this photo shows just how much this car is in need of springs

Some chevy bowties
a set of rear marker lights and a rattle can of matching paint, or what ever color you have in mind, and alot of energy drinks to get you through the long nights of working on the car
will = clean look to bumper cover. Especially at night when all you see it that red bowtie.

LT1 looks extremely dated, even the LS1 front end looks dated. If it doesn't have a hood scoop, a fresh coat of paint, and some head lights that aren't cloudy, then it looks old and dated to me. Just my two cents.

Nice not a bad idea, i actually wanted to do this to my 1999 z28 as well! I agree the lt1 93-97 camaros have a nicer front end! I might even do the same thing your doing i can't wait to see how yours comes out.

I want to see how this pans out!
The LT1 Camaro's in stock form looked way more bad *** than the LS1 Camaro's in stock form.
But when they're modified with the whistler lights, lowered, clean paint, maybe stripes and nice looking rims, an LS1 Camaro will look sweet too. But then again...there is always this....

Since these cars get their radiator air from underneath, I'm assuming the little openings in the original bumper are not necessary.
