Default Where can you buy a 99' Ram Air hood?
Ive seen a couple sellers online but there all fiberglass i want a steel one.

The steel ones are just more sturdy.my old 91' camaro had a fiberglass hood and when it hailed it left a bunch of lil dents in it.

Mine is white and I will be selling it due to ordering the WSQ hood that should be here any day

Um, I'm pretty sure the ram air hoods are all fiberglass, just like the SS hoods are. The smooth hoods are steel.

Hail is more likely to leave dimples in sheet metal than fiberglass.

Yes, OEM WS6 hoods are fglass. Not sure if there is a steel ram air hood out there...I have seen carbon fiber, but not steel.

I have heard about some steel ones out there but never seen one in person.

Its the factory one that came with the car. Not sure if its steel or not but I can check when I swing by the shop. The seats are from 6LE

Nooo!@ factory Fiberglass hoods... not just dents but i heard fiberglass cracks too easy and water getting under the ram air vents damages the paint

No such animal as a steel OEM WS6 hood. I've worked on hundreds of SS' and WS6' since 1993 and sold even more of them and not one has ever had a steel hood.

so here is a solution if anyone is looking for a WS6 hood, its a little dumb but hell it works. a few years i ago I went to Certifit ( sortafit) I bought a WS6 hood that was ready to paint for 280 bucks. they may still sell them! ?
